Amazon.com Review One of the most comforting sounds in the world is the bubbling of a coffee percolator at work. And then comes the toasty aroma--it makes for a perfect morning. Percolators have come back to home kitchens, and the Presto 12-cup stainless steel coffee maker is a prime example. Its elegant, hotel-style design brings a touch of luxury to what is for many a daily pleasure. This coffee maker brews up to twelve cups of coffee at a cup-a-minute rate, which it then keeps at a constant, piping-hot serving temperature. An indicator light in the base announces when the coffee is ready. The inner fixtures--the filter basket and perk tube--are also made of stainless steel, rather than the more common (and less durable) aluminum. The power cord is removable to make storage simple. Before cleaning the coffee maker, unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely. Wash the coffee maker with warm, sudsy water and dry it thoroughly; it is not immersible. To preserve the gloss of the stainless steel, do not use steel wool or harsh, abrasive cleansers. The perk spout and filter basket can be cleaned with a brush or pipe cleaner. If necessary, coffee stain remover can be used periodically on the interior surface. The coffee maker measures 10 by 5 by 13 inches (including handle, lid, and spout). Presto guarantees this product with a one-year limited warranty. A simple instruction sheet is enclosed. --Garland Withers

Presto coffee pot replaced our Faberware one March 8, 2010 Cyndi (North Jersey) When our Faberware coffee pot broke, we thought we would order another one. However, after reading some of the reviews, we decided to try another brand. We're glad we did! This pot works beautifully, keeping the coffee piping hot all the while it's plugged in.
We purchased the fold-over filters later on. They help to keep the pot clean, and prevent the grinds from slipping through the basket. So far, so good. Hope this works well for years to come!
Best coffee in a long time. March 8, 2010 KATHY Demario (PA) I love having perked coffee again, what a difference. What is old is definitely better and the coffee is nice and hot. I highly recommend this product.

This makes great tasting coffee. The top is a bit cheesy and I wish that it had more style.
A Great Machine! March 3, 2010 D. Yi (New Jersey) My wife and I really like this machine. We've been using the percolator daily for almost a month now to make Korean barley tea and it's been working absolutely great. I think we've made at least 30 to 40 pots already. We particularly like the fact that it keeps our tea hot at right temperature when plugged in, making this long and cold winter enjoyable. The machine is easy to manage and the clean up is also easy. We made coffee with it a couple times too, but the taste wasn't as great... I think it may have been my fault for not putting the right amount of coffee ground. I just hope that the machine will last for years, not months.
Just got my perk ! February 27, 2010 D. Johnston (Fla) I just received my perk, and made 12 cups of delecious coffee!I used about the same amount of coffee as I would normally use for my drip, just a bit more. The paper wrap around filters are worthless though,so I used the basket straight up.I can say that it's not "American made" quality (made in China),but had a nice retro 50's look, and It looks good with all of my other authentic 50's small appliances. If it keeps on perk'n ,I'll be happy with the purchase.
