LOVE IT! February 17, 2010 venom996@yahoo.com (Decatur, Michigan) My husband and I are BIG coffee drinkers and we've been through SO many coffee makers! Words can't express how we feel about the Hamilton Beach Coffee Station! It took a little getting used to since we've always used multiple brands with the glass pots but we ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MACHINE! We use a lot less coffee in the process too which saves a load of $!
We didn't buy this product from Amazon but sure wish we would have... GREAT PRICE! Ours was 80.00 at Meijer which was well worth it I might add!
Thank you, Hamilton Beach! No more Bunn, Cuisinart or Kitchen Aid for us... YUK! :)
Makes Great Coffee January 31, 2010 Dianne E. Davis (Albuquerque, NM USA) I've had my Hamilton Beach for 2 months now and I love it. I like the brewstation style. It's compact and no glass to break. It's very fast and fairly easy to clean.
I find that although you can use any cup for it, the travel "mugs" work best.
It would have been good to know the maximum sized travel mug fits between the dispenser and th base. Luckily, mine worked.
Coffeemaker January 30, 2010 shorty (Michigan) The coffee tastes ok. The last few seconds of brewing, the coffee maker seems to be extremely loud. Coffee dispenser is too close to the back of the coffee maker and therefore, sometimes the hot coffee bounces out of the cup unto your hand.
Mess or no mess January 27, 2010 C. Rowell (albany, ga, usa) Love the coffee, but hate the mess. I have to echo so many of the comments of previous reviewers. The fill mechanism is located too far back and you wind up with dribbled coffee down the cup,and in some cases all over the counter. There is a tremendious amount of condensation with this machine. When the lid is lifted it runs every where. Hamilton Beach ought to recall this thing and send all owners something that is more efficient. Don't buy it!
Terrible design flaws January 15, 2010 B. McCarley (Texas, USA) We bought this coffee pot yesterday. It's going back today. The hole where the coffee comes out is so close to the back wall that more coffee pours on the cabinet and the floor than in your cup. Even if you know this and use a very upright and thin lip cup, it still drips. It is not worth having to give it this much thought and care just to dispense a cup of coffee. Also, the metal basket filter for coffee doesn't fit correctly. The lid stays open about 1/4 inch. Also, it keeps coffee hot for 4 hours, but you can hear it bubbling the whole time. We called the company this morning and they said that it is so new that they haven't made these corrections yet. We are taking it back and getting the regular 12 cup brew station. My friend has this one with no problems at all.
