This is a good looking coffee maker and works well. The only beef I have is the difficulty in filling the water tank. The opening is just too small and the lid gets in the way. I always have to wipe up the water that spills on the counter. Oh well. Good coffee.
Cuisinart quality is decreasing... February 17, 2010 G. De Ladurantaye (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It seems like all of the companies that used to make high quality coffeemakers have gone downhill. First Krups, then Braun and now Cuisinart. These companies have all started to use more plastic and cheaper electronics.
I went through 2 DCC-750s before I finally gave up. With the first one I received, the base started to melt around the warming plate after a week. I exchanged it for another and that one didn't work at all! I filled it with water, pressed the start button - nothing.
I suggest getting your hands on an older model that is still new in the box - if you can find one at an overstock type retailer. Sometimes newer just isn't better...
Cuisinart DCC-750 Coffeemaker September 8, 2009 F. Crumpler 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
My Cuisinart DCC-750 Flavor Brew 12-Cup Coffeemaker is exactly what I wanted! It is programmable to start brewing when you want it to and will turn itself off as well! It has all the features I wanted, in the color I wanted to match my other appliances. You might be surprised, but a full-featured coffeemaker in White is not easy to find! The water filter was a feature I didn't expect, but I think it helps the flavor of the coffee.
It works perfectly; and looks great! I am very happy with this purchase.
