Amazon.com It's easy to offer guests or family members a choice of drip coffee or an espresso drink with this combination coffee/espresso maker. The Caffé Nero has separate controls and water tanks for each function, so you can brew drip coffee and espresso simultaneously. The coffee side has a patented Flavor Savor brewing system that fully saturates grounds and lets them steep for a while to draw out rich coffee flavors. A permanent gold-tone filter keeps even the finest grounds from sneaking through to a coffee cup and eliminates the need for buying paper filters. Using the dial on the top of the coffeemaker, you can adjust the coffee's strength to personal preference. A separate button lets you choose between brewing 5 cups or less or from 6 to 10 cups and alters the heating element accordingly so smaller pots never taste burnt or overheated. The drip coffee side also has a 24-hour programmable timer that can be set each night to brew first thing in the morning and a "drip interrupt" feature, so you can pour a cup before the full pot is brewed. Coffee remains hot in the 10-cup glass carafe due to the Caffé Nero's nonstick warming plate. The espresso function starts up quickly without much advanced preparation and has two filter holders--one that uses ground espresso and another that uses coffee pods. The pod filter holder has a unique design that securely holds pods in place and makes disposal easy with a single touch of a button. The patented ground espresso filter improves upon the brewing process, which means espresso drinks always have a perfect crema. Cappuccino and latté lovers will be pleased with the exclusive chamber that mixes steam and milk into a delicious, creamy froth. The espresso maker has a stainless-steel boiler for durability and a removable spill tray for easy cleaning. DeLonghi offers a one-year limited warranty on defects in materials and workmanship for this two-in-one espresso/coffee machine. --Cristina Vaamonde

Randomly stops working August 13, 2010 M. Bocian (U.S.A.) I've had this product about a year and a half. Three months after I bought it, the drip coffee maker stopped working one morning. I sent it back to DeLonghi and after five weeks they shipped it back to me, repaired. I continued to use it daily and just this morning, once again the drip coffee maker has ceased to function. Also in the past few months, the espresso maker has been taking longer and longer to prep and make espresso, and the froth. I had a fifteen dollar Mr. Coffee cheap drip coffee maker that ran solid like a champ for about four years... All in all, not worth the money in my book - too much hassle and not a reliable product.
love it July 31, 2010 Patrick L. Carey (spencer, iowa usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had this since feb 2010 (now aug 2010 ) and i use it every day for after diner espresso and cappuccino and ever morning for coffee I've had no problems with it. For this price point its worth the money there are better units out there but they cost more and are not coffee brewers and (pump style) espresso makers in one .
it's nice to have just one combo unit to save counter space
Not really what I've expected June 14, 2010 A. Ashley (Las Vegas, NV) I did not have much time to know if this machine is good or not due to a problem I had with the seller. I had to return the machine 3 or 4 days after I received it but the little time I had I was not that impressed... The espresso filter is too hard to attach. You have to be strong to be able to tie the espresso filter to the espresso filter holder on the right position. I also noticed that the espresso does not come out as hot as I've expected. If you like a good espresso I would not recommend this machine.
not good December 4, 2009 Larry D. Thompson (Alaska) After opening this product I found some of the pieces were missing,so I contacted the seller and maker to get the parts. After 6 weeks I finally get the parts and was able to start using the machine, this was a christmas gift that I had given. After waiting for parts to arrive I found the machine did not work good at all.We tried it several times and we ended up with more coffee on the outside of the machine than in the cup. That was 2 years ago and the machine has been sitting on the shelf since. We took our 15 year old espresso make back off the shelf and have been using it since.
Delonghi BCO264B Combo Coffee Maker -- A Great Product January 12, 2009 Richard E. Pectol (Annandale, VA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bought as a Christmas gift for my wife. It was very easy to set up and use, although we're still playing with the settings. I particularly like the ability to set the time that the pot stays hot -- it's preset at 2 hours, but can be easily changed to any length, including always on. The titanium filter is a nice idea -- does away with paper filters, and it cleans easily.
