Quick, Clean Coffee With Few Steps February 21, 2010 L. Burns (Sebastian, FL USA) Love this alternative to the higher-priced Keurig, Tassimo and Senseo (whose pods are interchangeable with this machine). Perfect for the office but I bought this one for my elderly parents who are not huge coffee fans, but would like something better than instant to enjoy. It made an awesome little gift and when I stop at the grocery, I always pick up the Senseo pods and drop them off so we get to have a short and sweet visit to boot.
Great!!! February 14, 2010 Francesca Rogers (usa) I bought this as a gift for my father. He loves it! It was shipped really fast!!!!
Important note to users getting watery coffee October 28, 2009 G. Rowat (New York, NY) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've had this brewer for over a year, and for the first few weeks was intensely disappointed in the watered down coffee it was producing. On the top of the machine it says "Fill water tank with COLD water". It took me awhile to realize that THIS is the secret of the machine. Something to do with the heating of the water slows it's drip through the pod. You get a much better cup of coffee if you use water from your refrigerator. It's still not a top of the line device, but it's good for it's price if follow this tip.
And [...] has good quality and service for pod ordering.
TRASH August 29, 2009 A. Help (San Diego) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought (and quickly discarded) the stainless steel version. See my review on it, these machines are NOT pressurized espresso/coffee makers, they are for-crap drip makers not even comparable to a "Mr. Coffee." At least Hamilton does not falsely use "Commercial" but instead hints using "Coffee and Water Dispensing"...they just leave out the one part coffee ten parts water ratio! A "zero-star" product...unless you are into colored water (hint, you can save lots by using one ounce of coffee from any real drip machine and adding water) or you are into wasting your money.
dishwater coffee August 1, 2009 N. C. Kenfield (Alabama) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you like weak, lukewarm, dishwater-tasting coffee, this is the machine for you.
Yeah, it's pretty portable if you're traveling, it's easy to clean, it's convenient, but the coffee it makes is awful
Get a Keurig or a Senseo, or, better yet, a "Handpresso" if you want good coffee. The keurig isn't very portable, but it's small.
happy Joe!!!
