I miss this little machine! May 31, 2010 Amanda Blakely (Richland, WA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I owned this machine for a couple years (I think?) but recently gave it to my mom when I was given a Krups coffee/espresso maker combo. Bigger is better, right? Not in this case. I miss that machine! As long as I used good coffee with the right grind, it did a great job and produced delicious, consistent drinks. My Krups machine is shooting steam out of the top, although it still works. I am now looking into getting a pump espresso maker, but for someone who is not too picky and just wants to save money and make cappuccinos at home, this is a great little machine. And for around $30 it's ok if it doesn't last forever.
Good basic machine May 12, 2010 Donna Giavon (Colorado (pooing on Focus on Family building)) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this from wal-mart when I moved into my new apartment. Works good and I've made good espresso from it. Its not hard to clean either. I've had it for two years and it still works good.
Perfect. Makes pretty good coffee as well. May 4, 2010 frankp93 (Danbury, Connecticut United States) I should explain I bought the ECM250 for something other than making coffee: I wanted an inexpensive steam source to free up the neck glue joint on an acoustic guitar I'm rebuilding. I clamped a heavy-duty hose over the frothing nozzle and secured a basketball inflator needle at the other hose end. One pot of water in the reservoir, a couple of minutes on brew and, voila, I had my version of the classic contraption favored by luthiers far and wide.
Job done, I relocated the ECM250 from basement to kitchen where it works just as well for cappucino.
Dual-use technology like it oughta be!
this machine sucks March 11, 2010 boughtthislametoy Espresso part works good, steam nozzle clogged and doesn't come apart for cleaning. Mr Coffee makes a much better machine that's the same price.Mr. Coffee ECM160 4-Cup Steam Espresso Machine
It gets the job done February 10, 2010 Prosumer (NY, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After a couple weeks of use we've concluded this coffee maker gets the job done, that's really pretty much it. Nothing fancy, it makes coffee for two people. Unlike the previous generation of this model, this latest models seems to be a bit sturdier as well.
